According to the U.S. Census, 3,172 people have made the move from Texas to Alaska from 2009-2013, the most of any state.

The next highest amount of transplants to Alaska came from Washington, California and Oregon.

"Texas has a significant military population and a large petroleum industry, which could explain some of its status as the leader in Alaska migration," noted the Fairbanks Newsminer.

If you plan on seeing what the fuss is all about and want to make join those who have made the move to Alaska, let Westheimer Transfer get you there.
